Интерфейсный модуль Cisco IRM-1100-SPMI
Сетевые модули Cisco (network modules) позволяют расширить коммутатор или модульную платформу требуемым функционалом или портами. Сетевые модуля Cisco могут использоваться в качестве высокоскоростных uplink-портов для подключения к магистрали или к другим устройствам. Uplink-модуля выпускаются под определенную линейку, и могут поддерживать SFP+, Base-T и другие порты на разных скоростях, 1GbE, 10GbE и выше. Модуля стекирования (stack modules) выпускаются под определенную линейку для стекируемых серий коммутаторов, и с помощью них можно соединить коммутаторы в одно логическое устройство. Большинство сетевых модулей поддерживают режим горячей замены (hot-swappable).
